This family's friend contacted me to buy a gift certificate package to gift this family a hospital photo session. How sweet is that! Besides birth photography, hospital fresh 48 photo sessions are my favorite! There are so real and so organic and I don't think there's anything more special to look back at than to document the first couple days of your baby's life. I met this little guy when he was barely 24 hours old. I actually arrived at Torrance Memorial right when he had turned exactly 24 hours old, so it was really neat to document that. Here are a few of my favorites from that session.

Look at this sweetheart! Photographed her at her place of birth, just barely 2 days old and so darn cute! I absolutely love doing these "fresh 48" sessions. It's more of a documentary style newborn session done at the baby's place of birth, within 48 hours of them being born. It captures all the first little details of their young lives. I just love it when I catch a baby smile during these sweet "Fresh 48" sessions! At a couple of these types of sessions, I had actually caught the baby's first smile, which is so special to have documented.
